I believe that when we strengthen the spiritual aspect of our relationship we can handle all the ups and downs of the relationship that happen over time. During difficult times with my hubby and I, we have both surrendered our relationship over to our higher power and suddenly things change for the better. I think the whole process of being spiritually senior instead of ego dominant supports us to have healthy relationships, finances, career, health and so on. I had to laugh though with your first sentence "...when you're in love with your partner" as I hope people are in love with their partner - why are they in the relationship if they are not!? But, I also think that during those times of feeling unloving towards a partner is the best time to connect spiritually (there have been times when I'm really irritated by my hubby, but when I connect with him from myself as spirit to him as spirit I touch into such a deep affinity for him and I realize it is my ego self that is irritated so I can then laugh and let it go).
