Our bodies have the miraculous ability to heal physical pain and illness. They are constantly working to restore balance once it’s been interrupted. In perfect balance our body hums with light energy vibrations unique to our system. When we are stressed, overloaded with negative thoughts and weighed down with heavy emotions, our natural flow of energy is impeded, leading to pain and illness.
Several alternative healing modalities including acupuncture, Reiki, and various energy body work techniques are highly effective at releasing blocks and restoring balance to the mind and body. With awareness we can touch into healing energy vibrations on our own in order to heal physical pain and illness.
I’ve described three energy healing exercises below. These can be used on there own to heal minor physical pain and illness or with more serious health issues, used in conjunction with conventional medicine or alternative health practices to speed up recovery. Healing Words and Sound
Close your eyes and bring awareness into your body. Take a few deep relaxing breaths. Feel the flow of your energy tingling through your body. Bring attention to your physical pain or illness. Breathe acceptance into that area of your body. Notice the mood and tone within the pain or illness. Is it angry, sad, hopeless, fearful? What is the message behind the feeling? Listen for words or sense the information. All thoughts, beliefs and words are energy forms. If the message is negative or limiting, know that this is not your truth, but a piece of invalidation stuck in your space.
Be willing to release any negative messages and replace them with supportive, kind and loving words. What does your body need to hear in order to heal? What can you say to your body silently or out loud? What sounds can you make through toning, chanting, humming or singing to support your body? Do this daily to heal your body.
Visualization Heals Pain and Illness
With eyes closed and centered within, tune into the part of your body that is not well. Use your imagination to see the shape of the pain or illness. What color is it? What texture? Is it heavy or light? Can you move it out of your body? Imagine moving it away from your body. If that’s difficult, use the image of a vacuum to pull or suck it out. Notice what this feels like.
Refill this area with a healing energy vibration. Colors have an energy frequency – use your intuition to choose a healing color. Flood this part of your body with this energy. See and feel it restoring balance to your body.
Loving Energy Vibrations
Turn inward and connect with the painful or ill part of your body. Say hello to this area and ask what it needs. Would the energy of love, amusement, joy or forgiveness be healing? Touch into a supportive vibration and send it to this area of your body.
If you have trouble connecting to a healing energy vibration use a visualization. Envision a column of light a few feet in front of you. See it filled with the essence of love, amusement, joy or whatever would support you. Step into this column of healing energy and let it fill every cell of your body.
Use these exercises daily as a way to release blocks and support your body to heal itself.
