<description>Thanks for your comments, Gini....I&#039;ve been trying so hard to wrap my head around the &quot;effortless flowing towards achievement and success&quot; idea. I tend to strive to achieve my goals against all odds, and I like your thoughts about working but not straining. I think about it often -- especially since I&#039;m thinking more about inner peace!

And Lori (great name!), thanks for this poem about inner peace...it&#039;s lovely.

Blessings,
Laurie

<description>My favorite poem on inner peace:

Inner Peace

So much has been written
About peace in the world,
Peace on earth, peace be with you,
Shalom.

Peace is more
Than the absence of war,
More than tolerance
More than acceptance.

There can never be peace
Between individuals or nations,
Until we are at peace with ourselves
That inner peace that passes understanding.

<description>I love articles about inner peace. All of those tips are wonderful ways to be at peace. One other way for me is to take action from a state of ease (kinda contradicts your note that it takes &quot;effort&quot; to have peace though:). I think when we are in &#039;effort&#039; we are in a bit of resistance, struggle, pushing or &#039;trying&#039; to achieve something.

Being in a state of non-resistance and effortless ease allows things to flow naturally including our body and mind. As soon as I feel my mind or body tense up, trying to get somewhere, finish something or push towards or against anything, I stop, breath, relax and move back into a natural state of ease. Then peace follows.

Thanks for the important reminders, Laurie.
