I would really like to try google plus..... Something funny for you. A true story
My daughter came home with a box of black hair dye, her reason, "I am tired of everyone calling me a dumb blonde" I few minutes later I hear screaming in the kitchen. I walk in to find my daughter yelling, "the directions are in spanish!" As difficult as it was I (without laughing) turn the page over. She looked up and explained she was blonde still....

Thank you, thank you, yet again for Fire up (or Just Fire) the Muse!

I bombed on a 10-minute timed writing at my writing workshop last night. "Everyone" but me produced imaginative, free-flowing pieces from the prompt "I Remember When." Memory stalled - performance anxiety? writing block? - all I could come up with were two awkward sentences. Still cringing with this evidence of my lack, I then went on to stammer and stumble over simple words as I read out the piece of writing I had brought for critique.

This morning my inner critic informed me I should (1) pack up my writing aspirations; (2) never go back to the workshop group; and (3) stay in bed for the day. Not so fast! I reached for my writing life-line Fire up the Muse which covers this very situation!

Messages from the Muse replaced the inner critic in my head.

You mean others go through this as well? And still carry on writing? I was able to uncurl myself from the foetal position and crawl over to my keyboard where the keys are now chattering away.
