Gregory, I stopped using the Amazon Reloaded plugin about a year ago. It stopped working for me – I never did figure out why.

Sometimes plugins don’t play together well, which means activating one will cause another to stop working. And some themes don’t operate with some plugins, as one of the bloggers (Anne Wayman) commented on the link you provided.

I’m sorry; I wish I could be more helpful. To adverise Amazon products, I’ve been working directly with the Amazon.com associates site.

Good luck with your monetized sites — making money as a blogger is the most exciting and lucrative thing I’ve ever done! Let me know how it goes for you.

The Amazon affiliates program isn’t CPC or cost per click, which means readers need to purchase an item from Amazon in order for me to make a commission. The cool think about Amazon is readers don’t need to purchase the exact item you list in your post….no matter what they buy during that visit, you earn a commission. I like it

I was just wondering, if just clicking on the amazon advertisement on your blog generates ad-revenue, or is it necessary for the viewer to purchase the item advertised so that you get a cut?

First, let me say that the blog looks great. Some of the changes are subtle but it really is very polished.

I’ve never made much money from Amazon, but I really do like the options that are available. I use text sometimes and there are just some posts that really do call for a cover, and I can do that too!

Sorry about the yukky associate number lesson – I bet you were bummed. I’ve done the same type of thing before but not with Amazon…
