[...] Fortunately, I have also come across a recent study in the journal Human Reproduction (January 29, 2009) which shows that symptoms of anxiety don’t reduce the chances of getting pregnant for women undergoing fertility treatments. http://theadventurouswriter.com/blogbaby/quipstipscouplesinfertility/stress-in-vitro-fertilization-s... [...]

Thanks for sharing your experience with in vitro fertilization, Caz! Your experience is definitely contrary to the research that says stress doesn't hinder IVF success rates -- and I'm very happy for you.

I hope your pregnancy is healthy, and your delivery safe and exciting!

Blessings,
Laurie

I find the article stating that stress does not hinder IVF success rates very incorrect.

In 2005-6 I did 5 full IVF cycles. In the last three all types and levels of medication were identical and the same ob/gyn implanted the embryos.

In the first two I produces 2 embryos that could only go to day two.
I finally quit a very stressful work environmennt and changed jobs. On the third IVF cycle I produced 9 eggs and 5 went to day 5, Blastocysts. 18 months later I left another stressful environment, had my final day 5 frozen blastocyst from the third cycle implanted and became pregnant!!
