i and my wife are more than two years of being together since we were married. we went to a doctor for a workout. it was found out that my wife has a mayoma (a size of a corn) kernel. and with a retroverted ovary..as for myself i had a semen analysis and sad to say i have a low sperm count..Please help advice us what to do? what are our chances of experiencing the joy of being a parent.

The best way that I know of to plan a pregnancy is by timing ovulation.

Also — I encourage you to talk to your doctor, since you’ve been trying to get pregnant for a year without success. Perhaps you and your wife should both be tested for fertility, to make sure you don’t have health issues that are preventing pregnancy.

Other than the articles I’ve written here on Quips & Tips for Couples Coping With Infertility, I know of no other medicines that can increase male fertility levels. You could try the male fertility supplements — the ads on this site — because they do work for some men. But, there are no guarantees because it really depends on the cause of your azoospermia (no sperm) and even your personality.

I know that azoospermia isn’t easy to cure. My husband went to an acupuncturist for help with his sperm count, but it didn’t get us pregnant! Even though it didn’t work for us — because not everything works for everybody — acupuncture may be an option to explore.

If you can determine the cause of your azoospermia, you’re better able to treat it. But, as I said, I don’t think it’s easily cured.

I’m sorry I can’t offer better advice — and I caution you to be careful of people on the internet who say they can cure male infertility. If you can afford to try different things, then do it! But, don’t be fooled into buying products or treatments that offer miracle cures.

My best advice is to go back to your doctor, and do the biopsy — when you’re ready. That will help you figure out what to do next.
