Hi Laurie
My husband and i have been trying for me to get pregnant for last year and half.. and did conceive last yr October2011 but had a miscarriage in 8 weeks. The cause was unknown. Have checked with the docs and they have told me i have no problems and had been asked to try alternate days when i ovulate . I have no major issue with my health other than a chronic lower back pain fr 8 yrs now and have gained weight in the last one year. I am desperate to have a baby .. please help ..

I am 39 and ttc for 6 months now after birth control for 3 years. I was pregnant at age 35 and lost it. I since then developed diabetes ii but they are under control and i have lost close to 60 lbs. But still no luck.......Will i ever be and get to have the dream that so many do come true? What else can i do to move ovulation along or increase the chances of better egg development? I saw my obgyn and by lab work she could see hormones and ovulation was ok and happening.. But... still ttc : (

Helen,

Thanks for your insights!

Many of us women mistreat our bodies in ways that have long-term effects on our health. You're right: even teens and women in their early 20s need to know ways to prepare their bodies for healthy pregnancies -- even if they don't plan on getting pregnant for another decade!

Blessings,
Laurie
