I recently read something regarding credit repair companies.

It said that you should query EVERY SINGLE negative aspect of your credit report as apparently 40% of queried items are removed. It also advised that you should wait until the 'busiest' periods of the year, as this is the time when mistakes are made and you stand a higher chance of having negative aspects of your credit report removed permanently.

At the time I thought that this advice sounded a little 'suspect', and you have confirmed this. It's interesting that the negative aspects will be removed temporarily, and the credit repair company take this opportunity to come straight back to you and show you that the negative aspect has been 'removed'.

Good post, a lot of useful and interesting information.
