I think we have pretty good control of our finances...but sometimes I wish I was less tightfisted. I scrimp and save all my money, but even though we&#039;re not in debt I do think money is the boss of me.</description>

I completely agree with you on balancing the checkbook.  I know I don&#039;t do this as well as I should, but I have at least become aware of when things are due and making sure I always have enough money to cover what is being paid.  I realized one year that I was wasting over $1000 a year on overdraft fees.  Once I started making sure I had the money to cover my expenses, the overdraft fees started going away, freeing up even more money. 

Remember, spend less than you make to build wealth!
