I agree, staying healthy is definitely one of the best ways to save money on medical care.

But, some diseases appear no matter how healthy we are. I hear so many stories of otherwise healthy people having big health problems…but still, the general trend is that the healthier we are, the more we’ll save on medical care costs.

The best way to save money on medical care costs is definitely by staying healthy! The healthier you are, the less money you’ll have to spend.

When I lived in Edmonton, I went to the U of A twice for cleanings by their student hygienists. I can’t remember how much it cost, but it was definitely cheaper than a dentist’s office.

The dentistry and hygienist students might be a little slower, though….I remember being awfully impatient to get my cleanings done!

My whole family gets our dental checkups, cleanings, fillings, etc at the dentist’s school at the local university. It’s much cheaper than a real dentist — it’s a great way to save on medical costs, especially if you have lots of kids with cavities!
